We stably supply natural gas which is earth-friendly clean energy.
Since the gas supply operations are totally controlled with computers, safe and stable supply is ensured.
We are working so that the energy can be utilized for co-generation, fuel cells, etc.
From Production to Supply
The natural gas deposit(or reservoir), which is mostly under the ground of the BOSO Peninsula in Chiba Prefecture, is defined Natural Gas dissolved in water and the brine is also produced together with Natural Gas.
The natural gas and brine that are pumped up from the ground are first separated with the Separator on the surface and the natural gas is supplied to city gas suppliers through the pipeline having the total extension of 190km. The natural gas that is used as fuel and raw material used in industrial customers along this network is also transported in a safe and robust way.
On the other hand, the brine that is separated from the natural gas by the separator is sent to iodine plants as the raw material for manufacturing iodine and finally it is turned into various iodine products.
In addition, part of the brine after extracting iodine in the iodine manufacturing process is sent to the injection well for underground reduction through the dedicated pipeline in the manner that it traces back the past flow to be restored back to the original geological layer.
We have 54 plants where various types of compressor, pumps, and control equipment that support the above-stated production flows are combined. Respective plants and the Gas Controll Center in our Chiba Office are connected with the telemetering system to ensure the remote control. The operators are stationed in the Gas Controll Center to ensure safe supply of the gas.
Flow of Natural Gas from Production to Supply
The drilled well is reinforced as required, slot pipes having a lot of holes are inserted into the gas deposit and the well-head equipment is installed on the surface. The Natural Gas dissolved in water is pumped up from the geological layer.
The natural gas and the brine that are pumped up to the ground are separated here.
The natural gas is supplied to customers through the gas pipeline.
Gas Control Center
The operation phases covering from production to supply of gas are bulk-controlled by the telemetering system.
