What are the iodine recycling operations?

We at GODO SHIGEN have been among the first to respond to the customers' economic efficiency and the needs for environmental restrictions since the 1960s, working on the recycling of iodine from the used solutions containing iodine, and established various treatment methods.

We regard iodine as one of the precious natural resources and strive for the recycling operations by using the state-of-the-art technologies that are friendly to the environment.

In 1992, we established the comprehensive iodine recycling technology based on our own high-temperature decomposition treatment technology (patent granted) where our accumulated know-how are fully utilized. Thus, we have established the efficient integrated manufacturing system covering the phases of raw material iodine manufacturing, iodine compound manufacturing and recycling of iodine.

We acquired industrial waste disposal operator permission and special management industrial waste disposal operator permission for iodine recycling , thereby responding to the requirements of customers.

The used materials containing iodine, which are collected from various fields, will be accepted by us. And the components and the treatment methods are evaluated by utilizing the accumulated analysis technologies, discussions with the generation cause party are conducted regarding the recycling method, and off-take price as the recycle raw material is calculated. In addition, we will accept the proposal for the integrated circulation service covering the sales of iodine products up to the off-take-of used recycle raw materials.
