The company was established as Godo Shigen Co., Ltd., in 1965 and remains in operation to date after the merger of Aioi Industry Co., Ltd., which was founded in 1934 and ran the natural gas and iodine businesses and Isobe Kogyo Co ., Ltd., which was founded in 1948 and ran the metal mining as the core business. The history of Aioi Industry and Isobe Kogyo after their foundation will be shown below.

|1965||Aioi Industries Co., Ltd., merge with Isobe Mining Co., Ltd., and the corporate name is changed to Godo Shigen Sangyo Co., Ltd. with pay-in capital of ¥170 million. Establish the Chiba Works within the premises of Yatsumi Plant and integrate and manage the Yatsumi Plant and the Kamitaki Plant as a result of the merger.|
